“Under the Sea” Mural

This vibrant ocean and sea life mural was hand painted for LA Unified School District at Gulf Avenue Elementary School in Los Angeles, CA. This mural shows a variety of sea life including garibaldi, local lobsters, and vibrant kelp forests unique to the Southern California coastline. Children at the LAUSD school requested their favorite fish be painted into the 105ft mural and Nichole Blackburn happily obliged. An important part of this mural was to teach students to preserve our local oceans and protect the environment.
